nq4 provides efficient solutions for a wide range of software problems. Our customers are as different as their needs and so are our solutions. We support various people from a single freelancer up to a big company each with different problems but all having one thing in comon: the need for creative, useful and independent solutions.

At the time of writing our technological focus is on Java, Eclipse / RCP and OS-X.

nq4's main products are:

• JoGa, the popular java class optimization utility and
• nqDoc, the multilingual documentation editor.

We believe that software starts as something simple and beautiful: an idea to simplify your life, to help you more easily accomplish something you need to do. The idea is embellished as it matures, without losing sight of the core idea that inspired it. Software should be deep and focused, so every feature you want to use is understandable and anticipates what you actually want to do.

nq4 was founded in 1999 by Andreas Daniel Ebbert (Dipl.-Inf.) and Arnd Leon Houben (Dipl.-Inf.). Both with more than 20 years of experience in software development. Since April 2009 we are operating as nq4 Software UG (haftungsbeschränkt). Michael Martin Hagemann (Dipl.-Inf.) joined the Team, Kai Ulf Pieper is the CEO of the company.
